SHGO Launches New Hospital and School Partnership Initiatives

Dr. David JordanDr. David Jordan, President of Seven Hills Foundation, and its international aid affiliate, Seven Hills Global Outreach, today announced the launch of two important new initiatives designed to significantly enhance local health and education supports in the rural districts of Liberia and Sierra Leone.

“The new hospital and school “partnerships” are intended to match donor partners with desperately needed maternal and child health clinics as well as primary schools, in the under resourced rural communities of Sierra Leone and Liberia.  Donors will be asked to engage in a 3-year relationship by sending desperately needed equipment, supplies and human capital of the developed West to poor communities in West Africa through the broad citizen sector.  This isn’t about charity – it’s about partnering a community organization, individual, company, school or hospital here in the West with a counterpart in Liberia or Sierra Leone; two of the countries most affected by the Ebola crisis and in greatest need of assistance.”

The SHGO “Partnership” initiatives have initially identified 2 schools and 2 medical clinics which are seeking Western partners in Sierra Leone and Liberia. In the weeks ahead, additional hospitals and schools will be added to this new SHGO initiative.
